For this fourteenth week and the last full week, we have been working in Lars House and also on the farm with Sean.
In the Lars House, we had to remove all the excess earth that was in the garden and on the terrace. A craftsman had come to stir the earth and level the garden. It was therefore necessary to evacuate and remove the excess soil that had been put on the lawn. Then we put fertilizer in order to be able to recover grass in the coming weeks. The grass that was there before was dead.
Then we helped to demolish an old hangar in the garden. Following a storm, part of the roof collapsed. It was therefore safer to demolish everything and to rebuild a new hangar later.
We also painted the mouldings, so that we could then install them in the house and in the various rooms.
We also helped Sean at the farm. This is the time when he has to take the cows out step by step and put them into field. It's easier to move cows than sheep. We simply cleared a path and then the cows move around on their own. Half of the herd is in field for the moment and the other half is still on the farm.
We also helped Sean to have easier access to the feed they give to his cows. Food is stored under large tarpaulins that hold on thanks to the help of tires. He moves the tires and tarpaulins with his tractor, but he needs help for this mission, it is quite difficult to do it alone, because we have to place the tires on the tractor.
This is our last full week, the end of the trip is fast approaching.
