It's the day of the big departure !

It is January 15, 2019, it is 7:50 am, we have just arrived at Brussels Zaventem airport. Only two hours left before take-off. The suitcases are ready to be loaded.

Do you think it had been that simple? Well, no. No. What an adventure I had to pack my bags and respect the maximum weight of 20 kilos in the hold. I think I must have driven LP crazy before the departure. The day before, at 9pm, at the weighing session, my suitcase indicated 26 kilos, that means 6 kilos more. Knowing that the extra kilo costs 11 euros, I was in a terrible state. Fortunately, LP took some of the stuff out of his suitcase and I had to struggle to get rid of utensils that I could do without. Final result of the weighing the day before: 23 kilos each suitcase. My mother tried to reassure us, telling us that the weight was lower at the airport, I was hardly reassured, the night was not easy.

Let's go back to our big day, the departure, my mother dropped us off at the airport. The suitcases were weighed, they were 23 kilos each, fortunately the Ryanair company did not charge us any extra. First relief!

8:20 am - It's time, it's time to say goodbye to Mom, and after the many checks, to board.

We arrived in Dublin at 10:35 local time, one hour less in Ireland. For this trip, I took with me my inseparable pillow Stitch which allowed me to sleep along the flight path.

Now we are waiting for the bus to join our family at 12:30 pm.
