Kilkenny is a city of 26,512 inhabitants in the Republic of Ireland located in the province of Leinster. Kilkenny is the capital of the county of the same name. It is characterized by its historical monuments which gives it a medieval aspect.

The city is twinned with a French city: Moret-sur-Loing located in Seine-et-Marne.

Kilkenny is also famous for its hurling team: indeed, the team has won the national championship many times and often participates in the final. In addition, the team includes some of the best hurling players.

There are many activities to do in Kilkenny but I will list those we found the most interesting :

- Chateau de Kilkenny, is one of the largest castles in Ireland, with a sumptuous garden where you can stroll around.

- Ballykeefe Distillery, the only family whisky distillery in the country, is the only one in which you can discover the origins of Irish whiskey. every step of the brewing and distillation process, from the mill to the brewery, from the breathtaking copper stills to the warehouse and bottling plant on site.

- Medieval Mile Museum is an award-winning museum, where the stories of Kilkenny's powerful bosses and inspired creators are told through the buildings they left behind. With an interactive audio guide, you can discover the characters who built this medieval city.

Smithwick's Experience Kilkenny, you can immerse yourself in the history of Smithwick, one of Ireland's oldest beer brands, during a visit. Saint Canice Cathedral, is an Irish Anglican cathedral.

We ate an ice cream and a milkshake in the Scrumdiddly's brand, it is a brand that is only present in Ireland. They have three stores in the country. It's a delight. One of the best glaciers I've ever tested in my life!

The city of Kilkenny has been one of our favourites since we arrived in Ireland.

If you come to Ireland, try to pass through this unmissable city. This week has been quite short. We only worked on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Then we'll spend the weekend with my family in Dublin.
