For this ninth week on the farm, it was again dedicated to the "Lars House". We still had some paintings to finish in the house, including the entrance hall, kitchen and living room. By the end of the week, all the paintings (walls and ceilings) were finished. The house is gradually moving forward. We are proud to contribute to the progress of this house.
Then we sanded down all the doors, so that we could then paint them too.
I also cleaned the kitchen floor, laundry room and downstairs bathroom so that this weekend, workers would come by to pour concrete. Next week, the tiler will come to start installing the tiles in these different rooms. So we had to unload the trailer and all the tiles for the house. Well, it's mostly LP, Sean and his boys, because it's very heavy.
On the outside, we had to dig a hole in the central alley of the house, to put gravel in it, in order to re-concrete the alley later. It was a very physical job, my muscles worked well. I'm going back to muscular France!
This house is an old farm, in the garden, so there is a lot of waste and tools. To help Helen, we emptied and cleaned out the large hangar. Helen found a lot of things that belonged to her uncle. It was a special moment, as she told us her story and memories with him on the farm.
