Seventh week on the farm

The return to work on the farm was quite difficult, after a great weekend with the family and difficult goodbyes. We are halfway through the stay.
This week, we first returned to Portlaoise, to continue cleaning the house and refurbishing it for rent. We repainted the walls, cleaned the carpet on the first floor, weeded the garden and the outside courtyard, and carried out the inventory.
Then we continued the work in the house that Helen inherited. We worked with Sean's brother, Kevin, he has his own company in the building business. First we removed the parquet floor on the ground floor. We then put insulation in the various rooms before we could install the new floor.
Another mission that took us a long time this week was the storage of the garage. For many years, the family has stored many objects and waste in the garage. It was therefore necessary to store the garage in its entirety so that it could be accessed and the electrician could carry out the work inside. At the beginning of the week, it was impossible to set foot in the garage. It was a very physical job.
We didn't work on the farm this week.
